Terms of Use

1. About this service

The Casi World Cup tipping app is a private, non-commercial competition where invited participants predict the outcome of the FIFA World Cup matches. By creating an account and signing in, you accept these terms.

The service is delivered for Casi by Curveball AS (org. nr. 937 763 573), Storheia 36, 5239 Rådal, Norway.

2. Eligibility & account

• You must be 18 years or older to participate.
• You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials confidential.
• One account per person. Sharing or transferring accounts is not allowed.
• Provide accurate information (display name, contact details) so we can run the competition fairly.

3. How the competition works

• Predictions can be submitted and edited up until kick-off. After kick-off, predictions are permanently locked.
• Points are awarded automatically based on the official final score (90 + stoppage time). Extra time and penalties only count where the rules explicitly say so.
• Norway matches and certain selected fixtures award double points. The full scoring rules are on the Rules page.
• Bonus prediction opportunities may be added during the tournament — keep an eye on the app.
• In case of a tie on points, tie-breakers in the Rules apply.

4. Wine pledge & prizes

The competition is built around a friendly wine pledge: each participant confirms a bottle (minimum value 250 NOK) as their entry. Prize distribution is handled outside the app and is not legally enforceable — this is a friendly contest, not a gambling service.

5. SMS notifications

If you choose to verify a phone number, you consent to receive transactional SMS messages related to the competition (e.g. kick-off reminders, bonus tips). Standard carrier rates may apply. You can remove your phone number at any time on the Profile page.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• attempt to access other users' accounts or data,
• reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service,
• submit content that is unlawful, offensive, or infringes others' rights,
• use the service for any commercial or gambling purpose.

7. Fairness & disputes

The admin reserves the right to correct obvious errors (e.g. wrong scores entered, fixture changes, abandoned matches) and to make a final decision on any dispute. Decisions are communicated in-app or via SMS where possible.

8. Service availability

We provide the service “as is” and make no guarantees of uninterrupted availability. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from downtime, lost predictions due to user error, or third-party service failures (e.g. SMS provider).

9. Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by Norwegian law. Disputes that cannot be resolved amicably shall be decided by the ordinary courts of Norway.
